About Elma Mayer

Certifications: I’m a Certified Practitioner and Instructor of
The Yuen Method of Chinese Energetics, having studied with Dr. Kam Yuen. I’ve taught Yuen Method levels 1 thru 3, and many of my students have gone on to become Certified Practitioners themselves! I’m also a Certified Matrix Energetics Practitioner, and a Certified ThetaHealing Practitioner (although I don’t really use ThetaHealing anymore).

Practice: My private practice is based in Los Angeles, California. I work with clients by phone, all around the world except Antarctica (not yet, anyway). I work with adults, children, families, animals and homes. I’m especially interested in helping Lyme disease patients to recover; healing the wounds of the holocaust in survivors, their descendants, and globally; helping people connect to Infinite Self; healing earth; and healing our relationship with earth.

Purpose: Here are a few of my favorite things.

1) I am very excited about helping awaken people’s innate healing ability. If it can happen for me, it can happen for anyone!

2) Probably the most rewarding thing for me, even more so than getting actual “healing” results, is aligning people with Infinite Self, so that they can be their true self no matter what else is going on.

3) I love to teach this work… helping humans to access their innate healing abilites, to teach people how to do this themselves, to be their own expert. It’s so gratifying to see people’s Aha moments as they get it. I also really love teaching via teleseminar. I can help more people that way, and distance is no problem. It’s not just remote healing, it’s remote teaching!

4) One of my lifelong goals (at least since I was 13) is to heal the planet, and humanity’s relationship with earth. I especially love to work with healing water and air, from the microcosmic level to the planetary.

5) Writing: I love to write about this stuff, from Healing Tweets on Twitter, to my monthly column, “Being Whole” in the Los Feliz Ledger. Some of my articles are on this website and scattered about the internet. I really loved writing the class manual for Now Healing 101.

6) Music: my original entry point to playing directly with energy and vibrations.

History: I had no intention of becoming a healer. I became one as the result of getting sick. When I visited Lyme, Connecticut in 1991, I promptly got Lyme disease. After several years of illness and many treatments by all kinds of doctors and alternative practitioners, I read some books by Orin and Sanaya Roman. They taught me that I could actually do self-healing, and work directly with energy. I learned to resonate with earth’s healing frequencies – I called it The Thing That Heals. This produced relief from symptoms, as well as deep changes. Finally, after many years, I found a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD) who put me on the correct antibiotics, herbs and supplements, to which I attribute about 50% of my recovery. The other 50% was energetic self-healing, including the Yuen Method. Learning Yuen Method transformed me into a purposeful healer, and gave me a proven methodology. Within days of taking my first Yuen Method class, I began healing others. On a trip to the zoo with my kids, we visited a little lame owl hobbling in its cage. In just 3 minutes of Yuen Method treatment, the owl uncurled its gnarled feet and ran around freely. Since then, I’ve learned other modalities which have added tools to my toolkit. And Now Healing continues to evolve, and is constantly being upgraded.

Life: I’m the mother of two amazing kids, and I’m married to my favorite songwriter, Brian Woodbury. I’m also a composer of art-pop music. Stay tuned for my healing chant project, Sacred Singalongs, and my post-prog-avant-garde chamber opera Art of the Loop. With Brian, as a composer-lyricist, I’m involved in several musical theater projects for stage and TV.

Thanks to those that put me on the path of healing: Brian Woodbury, The Holoelim (my team of guides), Orin, Sanaya Roman, Dr. Robert Kandarjian, Letha Hadady, L.Ac, Dr. Santokh Singh Khalsa of Khalsa Chiropractic in Pasadena, CA, Dr. Zhi Gang Sha, Dr. Kam Yuen, Bethany Milton, Nedi Safa, and countless other healers, teachers, students and clients that I continue to learn from daily.
